The SU has secured funding for a full-time Student Advisor to help you with support around academic advice, breaches and challenging University feedback. We are launching this summer- keep your eyes peeled!

In the meantime here is a helpful list of some of the student services which can help you, what they do, and how you can contact them at the university.

UoG have an incident reporting tool where you can report if you have been made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe, regardless of how that incident might be defined. You can find the reporting tool here.

The housing team can offer support to all students with their Accommodation.  Whether this is searching for the right accommodation, supporting you whilst in your accommodation or offering advice once you have left.

The Money Advice Team in Student Services provides a non-judgemental confidential service to students needing advice and guidance with their finances.

The LTI department (Library, Technology & Information Service) delivers the combined IT and Library services of the University to provide a learning environment for our students to achieve their goals.

Chaplaincy Team The Chaplaincy Team are here to offer support, advice and a friendly listening ear to anyone who needs it. The Chaplains are based in the Sanctuary Spaces on each campus.  Drop in whenever you’d like to for free tea and coffee and a comfortable place to relax for a while.  They also run a number of groups and events where you can get to know other students

Student Achievement The Student Achievement Team can help you with everything from referencing, note taking and academic writing, to planning, structuring and editing assignments. They can also help you to make sense of your feedback and understand how to incorporate it into your next assignments. They are based at each of the Student Helpzones at Park, FCH and Oxstalls campuses and run group tutorials throughout the year. You can also book one-to-one appointments with them via the Future Plan Portal or via email

Future Plan Team The future plan team can help with future career opportunities and help you with things such as, CV’s, interviews, work experience and job options for after university. The Students' Union exists to support you - we know things sometimes go wrong.

Unlike some other SUs, we don't have a professional advice team so we try to signpost you to as many places as we can where you can find support.

If you have an issue that you wish to discuss, please get in touch.
